Privacy policy, in plain language.
This covers Norai Drafts, the web app at drafts.norai.com.au and its command-line version. It is run by Norai Pty Ltd (ACN 695 995 932), Australia.
The short version. Norai Drafts uses your Google account for one thing: putting the emails you build into your Gmail Drafts. It never reads your email, never sends anything, and your emails, lists and sign-in never reach Norai's servers.
What we ask Google for
One permission: gmail.compose, which Google describes as "Manage drafts and send emails". It is the narrowest Gmail permission that can create a draft with your logo inside it. We use only the part that creates a new draft. The app has no code that sends email, reads email, lists your drafts, or changes or deletes anything already in your mailbox.
We don't ask for your name, profile or contacts. You type the From address you want to use.
What happens to your Google data
- Sign-in. When you sign in, Google gives your browser a short-lived access key (about an hour). It stays in that browser tab's memory and is gone when you close it. It is never sent to Norai.
- Creating drafts. Your browser builds each email and sends it straight to Google's Gmail service to save as a draft in your account. Norai's servers are not in the path and never see the email, the recipients or the key.
- Reading. We don't read any Gmail data. The only thing Google sends back is the new draft's ID, which the app uses to show you that it worked.
- Storing. We store no Google user data on any server. Nothing is kept after the tab closes except what you save in your own browser (below).
- Sharing. We don't share, sell or transfer Google user data to anyone. We don't use it for advertising.
- People. No one at Norai can see your emails or drafts.
- AI. We don't use Google user data to develop, improve or train any AI or machine-learning model.
Limited Use
Norai Drafts' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What stays in your browser
Your templates, your logo and colours, and the last list you pasted are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device, so they're there next time. Norai never receives them. Clear them any time with "Forget everything on this device" in the app, or by clearing this site's data in your browser.
What our website sees
The site is a set of files served by Cloudflare. Like any website, Cloudflare handles your IP address and browser details to deliver the pages and protect against attacks. The pages load fonts from Google Fonts and the sign-in library from Google. We run no analytics, no tracking and no advertising cookies.
The command-line version
The command-line version runs on your own computer. It keeps its Google sign-in in a private file on that computer, creates drafts the same way, and sends nothing to Norai.
Taking the permission back
You can remove Norai Drafts' access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Drafts it already made stay in your Gmail until you delete them.
If you pay us
If you buy a paid plan, our payment provider handles your card and we keep your email address, plan and payment status for billing. That is separate from Gmail and never connected to your Google data.
Your rights
We handle personal information under the Australian Privacy Principles. Because we hold no Google user data, there is none for us to export or delete; anything we hold for billing we will show you or delete on request.
Changes
If this policy changes we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how Google data is used, we'll say so in the app before it applies.
